Moreover, Atienza plans on continuing his crusade against poverty and has promised to invest all of his efforts in uplifting and developing the lives of the city's impoverished residents.

If Manila residents would Vote Lito Atienza and would grant him another three-year term, Atienza plans to launch his platform dubbed as "Buhayin Nating Muli Ang Maynila" which is centered on sustaining what he has started during his tenure. If the Manilenos will Vote Lito Atienza, the benefits and the services they were able to enjoy during Atienza's tenure will be continued and sustained for good.

If given another three-year mandate as city mayor, Atienza will continue to build affordable housing programs and land acquisition programs both for the homeless impoverished residents and even to the middle class. As a former environment czar, Atienza will continue to push for the removal of the oil depot in Pandacan, which he deem as a serious environmental and safety threat to the people residing in the area. Furthermore, Atienza is planning to move forward with his beautification projects to put Manila back into the tourists' maps and top destinations in the country.Atienza plans to continue transforming and beautifying the city's old and deteriorating parks and tourist attractions, just like what he did in Manila's bay area or commonly known as the baywalk.

Former Manila mayor Lito Atienza is seeking another three year mandate to continue his commitment in uplifting the lives of the city's impoverished residents. In the case of former Manila mayor Lito Atienza he had both. One of the most admired leaders of the nation's capital, the former mayor succeeded in backing up his strong words with actions. Staying true to his words and fulfilling his promise of providing his beloved Manilenos with a city that they can truly call their own and which they will care for, Lito Atienza has done more things than any of his immediate predecessors.

One of the most accomplished mayors in Manila's rich political history, Lito Atienza's profile as city mayor is decorated with numerous completed projects and other countless achievements no other city mayor of Manila has accomplished. No one has to go that far in evaluating Atienza's performance as the city mayor of Manila for an unprecedented three consecutive three-year term, we just have to look back at how Manila looked and the living of conditions its residents were three years ago. The Atienza administration is characterized by the radical transformation in the city's economy, tourism, peace and order and education. Moreover, it was during Atienza's stint when thousands of poor families were removed from poverty and benefited from improved living conditions.

Being a real statesman and public servant serving selflessly for the good of many, Atienza provided almost everything what was needed by many of his impoverished city folks. It was also during his tenure that the city's delivery of social services was at its best. Atienza launched pro-poor programs and priority projects which have benefited and improved the lives of thousands of impoverished Manilenos. He was able to address almost all the social needs of his people through the creation of programs for housing, healthcare, peace and order, education, sports, arts and culture, nature and environment and welfare of senior citizens.

Atienza created livelihood programs and employment opportunities for the unemployed by bringing the city's economy back into life. He created training programs and vocational courses intended for the out of school youth and unemployed to provide them with a decent livelihood and a stable source of income. Atienza together with other non-government organizations have provided affordable housing and land acquisition programs for the homeless, which have benefited a lot of the city's poor residents and even the middle class.

The city's healthcare services and public hospitals were also enhanced during his administration. Atienza provided additional funds to the city's public hospitals and health centers which allowed them to purchase new medical equipment and medicines for enhanced healthcare services and to be able to provide free medicines to the city's impoverished residents.Atienza has provided free medical services and medicines to far-flung areas and barangays.

Manila under Atienza's leadership has had the best peace and order situation in many years. In support of Manila's budding athletes and promising talents, Atienza created sports-culminating activities and provided free training and development programs to harness their skills and talents. In addition, Atienza also extended free access to education and school supplies to Manila's public school students.Manila's colleges and universities were also enhanced during his term, as part of his efforts in providing quality and affordable college education to Manilenos. Furthermore, the city's senior residents were also provided with greater benefits under the former mayor's program for the senior citizens which included special services, big discounts and other freebies.

The former environment secretary also batted for the removal of the oil depot in Pandacan which he believes is a serious environmental and safety threat. Manila was also provided with a major facelift as Atienza pushed forward for the beautification and enhancement of the city's old and deteriorating parks and other tourist attractions. One of the most remarkable projects of the former mayor is the improvement of the city's bay area commonly known as the "Baywalk", which has allowed city residents, as well as local and foreign tourists to enjoy alfresco dining and listening to fine music while watching the world-renowned Manila Bay sunset.

Atienza's unsurpassed accomplishments during his term make as the most eligible person to vote for mayor in this coming Manila elections. If he is able to secure another three-year term in this coming Manila elections, Manila along with its residents are set to enjoy another three glorious years under the leadership of Lito Atienza.

The most eligible person to vote for mayor in this coming Manila election, Lito Atienza is one of the most accomplished mayors in Manila's rich political history. The Atienza administration is best described by the dramatic transformation in the city's economy, tourism, peace and order and education. He succeeded in addressing almost all the social needs of his people by creating programs for housing, healthcare, peace and order, education, sports, arts and culture, nature and environment and welfare of senior citizens.

-Jimmy Reyes

Joseph Calata And His Once Family-Run Business

Today, the largest distributor of agricultural chemicals, feeds, fertilizers and other agricultural products of the Philippines is Calata Corporation. With the endorsement of the group, Atienza gains another 5 percent solid votes.

Based on the survey conducted last April 29, Atienza gained a 7 percentage lead against his toughest rival, incumbent Mayor Alfredo Lim. With the INC votes, it can now be considered that Atienza is 12 percent leading against his opponent.

Meanwhile, El Shaddai leader Mike Velarde earlier said Manila needs a pro-life mayor.

“Atienza is not only pro-life, but also pro-good government," he added.

According to Msgr. He is pro-God and represents good governance.”

On the other hand, PMAP president Ronald Lumbao said he endorsed the candidacy of Atienza because apart from being a God-fearing person, he believes that the former Environment secretary has a genuine concern to help and improve the plight of the poor.

“His programs answer the needs of the poor community of Manila. He's very much unlike the incumbent mayor who doesn't care about the less fortunate," Lumbao said.

The Muslim community also back Atienza's candidacy, saying he maintains friendship and communication with them despite the difference in belief and religion.

Meanwhile, 650 out of the 897 barangay chairmen, and most of the barangay kagawads and tanods said that they witnessed how the former and present mayor managed the city. They claimed that they were able to prove that Atienza is the one who has a genuine heart to help the people, especially the poor.

Atienza said he is grateful for all the endorsements. The debate was a heated one, with both candidates exchanging ideas on various social issues. When the discussion went to the issue of drugs, Lim noted his accomplishments against drug trade and use during his tenure as the city mayor. Yet, his opponent Lito Atienza was in doubt of Lim's statements due to the involvement of the mayor's son in selling drugs.

It could be recalled that the son of Lim, Manuel Lim was apprehended in 2008 for selling illicit drugs, a nonbailable offense that also carries life imprisonment. Manila mayor Alfredo Lim conceded that his son was arrested by authorities, but claimed that he did not, in anyway, helped his son with his case. In order to divert the issue, Lim pointed the accusation of drug use towards Ali Atienza, the son of his opponent and a national and international taekwondo competitor. Ali Atienza who was in the audience cried foul and called Lim a liar, saying that how can a national athlete, who competes in international games with strict drug testing procedures, be a drug addict?

Embarassed with his accusation, Lim tried to come out clean by saying that it was former vice mayor Lacuna who said that Ali was a drug addict. Ali in defense of himself outlined to Lim his clean track record.Lim, at that moment, humiliatingly yield to the fumes of the young Atienza, as the moderators of the debate took control of the situation. Lito Atienza remained calm despite the events and managed to continue the debate.

Manila mayor Alfredo Lim tried his best to redeem himself from the humiliating accusation he dropped; however, the program ended with antagonism in the air. He might have dug his grave for he forgot that the audience was a thinking crowd of professional Rotarians. Lim usually gets away with his mediocre style of campaigning when he is facing customary crowd of tricycle drivers, vendors and the likes, but he must consider that he was facing professionals. It is just discouraging to see candidates speaking ill about their competitors. Considering that these candidates are educated, people were expecting an intellectual discussion from them to prove their capabilities to lead.

Soon after, Ali Atienza brought the incident to the media saying that he would be filing a libel case against Lim. The son of Lito Atienza noted that it pained him, as a former athlete, to be accused of being a drug addict. The young Atienza also pointed out that it was really impossible for an athlete to compete if he has been found using illicit drugs, making Lim's accusations a look more like fabricated story. Even after the election, Atienza is decided to file charges against Lim to protect his reputation.

With election 2010 nearing, it is normal to hear candidates speaking ill against their competitors. These ill comments is one way for the candidates to pull down their opponents. However, those who wish to run for office must also realize that speaking ill against opponents is not the right means to win the votes of the public. This is because the public has already given up with the ongoing political drama, and prefer leaders who knows how to walk the talk over those who talks and talks.

With the election 2010 coming, the Rotary Club of Manila held a mayoralty debate at the Manila Polo Club. Mayoralty candidates Alfredo Lim and Lito Atienza attended the said program. However, what appears to be a simple debate turned sour after Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim accused the son of his opponent, Ali Atienza, a drug user. The allegation directed by Lim caused a bit of hysteria among the audience, and angered the young Atienza and their family's supporters.

-Joel Dumayog

Lito Atienza Is The Best Man To Vote For Manila Mayor

Former Manila Mayor Lito Atienza without any doubt is the best man to vote for mayor of the nation's capital in this coming election 2010. These Manila elections, yet again, would be a test of the aptitude of the discernment of the electorate to pick a candidate who is worthy of the demanding needs of the colorful city. In terms of qualifications, perhaps there is no one else who fits the post more other than Lito Atienza. And among those who will contend for mayor in the Manila elections, no one probably has assisted more.

In 1992, just as a Vice-Mayor, Lito Atienza constituted with his wife Beng the "Home for the Angels," a child care center for abandoned and abused infants. He produced this out of his downright belief that nobody should feel unwanted. He also acknowledges that some conditions might forcefully break up a parent from his child and this is why he created this shelter for them. The center furnishes sustenance and all the love which these children could ever need.

This center is the epitome of the good heart of Lito Atienza. This is what voters should be aware of during the Manila elections. To a certain sense, we are all youngsters of the city, needing somebody like Lito Atienza to conduct us in a city in which himself saw burnt to ashes and which he wants to see rise again to elusive prominence. Such deeds should not be forgotten and should be at the centerpiece during the elections for Manila Mayor.

It would be morally straight if electors during the elections for Manila mayor would pick someone who was vocally against abortion. The stance of Lito Atienza as one of the fathers of Home for the Angels has consistently been that abortion is the ultimate child abuse and must be stopped at all costs. The Home of the Angels is a center entailed to be action oriented and attends to as the back up resolution to anti-life challenges. It is a concrete symbol and source of hope at the same time for many people.

During these Manila elections, let us not forget that the Home for the Angels has been a uniform crisis home for abortion survivors and has assisted many neglected, abused and exploited infants ever since it was founded fourteen years ago. It has assisted many victims and potential victims have a new set of lives and all of these is due to the kind heart of Lito Atienza. The elections for Manila mayor would surely be a half-baked race if it did not let in a choice such as him. The post of Manila mayor is a position of action conjugated with great hopes.

A total of 301 babies were served and admitted for case management and crisis intervention from year 1996 to the present and a total of 4,371 men, women and teenagers were assisted and referred through crisis intervention by phone and walk-in referrals from 2006 to the present in the center. A total of 356 students and private individuals were attended to and furnished with Respect for Life Orientation while a total of 314 children ages 0-6 years old for Early childhood care and Development were served in alternative Day Care services through the Learn and Play Outreach Program. These are efforts of a man who for sure deserves to win in the Manila elections. In the elections for Manila Mayor, these are deeds of a man that should be up there when we use our discernment.

These elections for Manila mayor should be a culmination in the life and career of service of one man. This great man is Lito Atienza. When he set up his center, The Home For The Angels, he had a vision to help all abandoned and neglected children. During these Manila elections, we can actually give him a chance to expand more his vision that no person should be deprived of shelter, sustenance, caring and of love.

-Joel Dumayog

Lito Atienza For Manila Mayor - Save Lives, Save The City

In the upcoming Manila elections, a candidate with supreme pro life advocacy has indicated his desire to lead Manila to a new beginning. Lito Atienza for Manila mayor is a catchword which represents a right chapter to the vast history of Manila. His base in Philippine politics is a soaring one, and this he shares with his family background. In the upcoming Manila elections, it would be hard to go against this man.

Lito Atienza is a devout Roman Catholic, who is also President of Pro-Life Philippines. Together with his spouse, this candidate for the Manila elections gained international prominence in Rome as an official delegate in the Pontifical Council for the Family. He was honored with a standing ovation for emphasizing that the Philippines has the highest percentage of citizenry who values life, family and the elderly. Lito Atienza for Manila mayor means pro-life in our society.

Even during his former incumbency in Philippine politics in the City of Manila, he opposed all forms of contraception or abortion or sex education programs. Lito Atienza for Manila mayor would signify an administration that will be absolutely pro-life from top to bottom. We had better vote for this man during the Manila elections if we fight abortion or those who are contrary to natural conception. The state of Philippine politics would for sure need a spiritual leader who has values such as him.

To bolster the Lito Atienza for Manila mayor certification, he conceived Rachel's Support Group, a group of volunteers who suffered post abortion syndrome. This group of this astonishing nominee for the Manila elections held counseling to women contemplating abortion and aimed at discouraging them from doing so. Because of his efforts in Philipine politics, thousands of women were given the right perspective and thousands of babies were saved. These are merely few of the grounds why Lito Atienza for Manila mayor should be a battle cry.

Lito Atienza sure enough is part of the old guard of Philippine politics. But he dwells in the dependable slope of this vein of the political universe. He has a strong educational background, with kin who are responsible public servants like himself. Apart from this, he has the core values of pro-life rationales which establishes him a virtuously upright potential mayor.

Come ballot day, these achievements of Lito Atienza are placed at the forefront of our consciousness. We have a likely mayor who is pro-life, who is socially conscious, and who is helpful. We have a potential mayor who grew up in the city, and whose most expansive aspiration is to make it great. If you are a member of the electorate of the City of Manila, the most legitimate matter is to go for this man.

Lito Atienza for Manila Mayor? There would be no finer choice for mayor during this upcoming Manila Elections. Philipipne politics has had its fair share of top caliber public servants and Lito Atienza is one of them. He is a pro life advocate and even grew up in the city. It is his dream aspiration to lead to city to the promised land of greatness where it previously stood on a pedestal before.

-Joel Dumayog

Lito Atienza - Best Candidate For Mayor Of Manila

When Lito Atienza said he would no longer be a member of the Cabinet in order to run for Manila Mayor in the upcoming elections, voters were certainly gifted with a great choice for the leader of the city. Lito Atienza is certainly a staple in Philippine politics and is gifted with a formidable family background. Numerous members of his relatives are in themselves highly visible members of the history of Philippine politics. With this, it could be rightfully said that Lito is truly the best choice for the post of Manila Mayor.

The father of Lito Atienza, Jose Atienza Sr, or Pepe was the top leader of the Department of Public Services. He was a decorated public servant who would even get up from bed in the middle of the night just to help troubled neighbors. His uncle, Herminigildo Atienza, also served as appointed Manila Mayor himself right after the Manila achieved liberation after the war. He was a great mayor who was deemed as one of the biggest influences in the founding of the legendary Liberal Party of Philippine politics.

Lito Atienza had a childhood among the ruins of the city of manila, walked through the neighborhoods that was but a patchwork of debris and even swam on the waters of Manila Bay. He would make a great Manila Mayor because he grew up in the city in which he aspires to lead. He envisioned that he would eventually put his hat into Philippine politics, elevate the city of Manila into a greatness which will make the ashes of the war a mere afterthought. By entering the elections for the position of Manila mayor, he can now fight for his dream task of trying to place Manila back to the pedestal where it belongs.

Lito Atienza certainly has all the requisites to become Manila Mayor. He finished his primary and secondary education in Ateneo de Manila University and completed a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas. Despite the fact that their family was monetarily rich, they were hardworking which enabled Lito to enter into the top schools. The Atienza family exhibited faithfulness and feared God properly. These family values and religious aspects are certainly very important for the position of public servant in Philippine politics.

Definitely best qualification of Lito Atienza is his bespectacled good name. His father Pepe firmly set foot that no wealth could ever be at par with the value of a good name backed up with a good education. Lito also had many friends and constantly persevered in order to reach his goals. He engaged in manual labor jobs and rode free along classmates with cars without shame because he firmly believed in hard work as the bridge to our goals.

Lito Atienza would certainly add to his colored history in his participation in Philippine politics by running for mayor. Being the Manila Mayor would be most revering for him and for the city of Manila given his heritage with the place. He lived not only his life here, but also lived with his family in the city which he envisions to prosper. If chosen with the honor, it will truly be for everyone's benefit if we give him a chance to fulfill his ambitions of the city for us.

There are many reasons why Lito Atienza should be the next Mayor of Manila. First, he comes from a distinguished family in Philippine politics. Second, he is very thrifty and hardworking which enabled him to finish from distinguished schools despite his lack of resources. Third, he grew up in Manila, and dreams nothing more than to become Manila Mayor so that he could make it great.

-Joel Dumayog

Lito Atienza - Saving Abandoned Children

Lito Atienza is currently a part of the list of prospects who will participate in the elections for Manila mayor. These Manila elections, yet once more, would be a trial of the aptitude of the discernment of the electorate to pick a candidate who is worthy of the demanding needs of the colorful city. In terms of qualifications, perhaps there is no one else who fits the post more other than Lito Atienza. And among those who will contend for mayor in the Manila elections, no one probably has assisted more.

In 1992, even as a Vice-Mayor, Lito Atienza established with his wife Beng the "Home for the Angels," a child care center for abandoned and abused infants. He made this out of his conclusive belief that nobody should feel unwanted. He also acknowledges that some conditions might forcefully break up a parent from his child and this is why he created this shelter for them. The center provides nourishment and all the love which these children could ever need.

This center is the image of the good heart of Lito Atienza. This is what electors should be cognizant of during the Manila elections. To a certain sense, we are all children of the city, needing someone like Lito Atienza to guide us in a city in which himself saw burnt to ashes and which he wants to see rise again to elusive prominence. Such deeds of great magnitude should not be disregarded and should be at the centerpiece during the elections for Manila Mayor.

It would be morally straight if electors during the elections for Manila mayor would pick someone who was vocally against abortion. The stance of Lito Atienza as one of the fathers of Home for the Angels has consistently been that abortion is the ultimate child abuse and must be stopped at all costs. The Home of the Angels is a center meant to be action oriented and serves as the back up solution to anti-life challenges. It is a concrete symbolization and generator of hope at the same time for many people.

During these Manila elections, let us not forget that the Home for the Angels has been a consistent crisis home for abortion survivors and has helped many neglected, abused and exploited infants ever since it was founded fourteen years ago. It has assisted many victims and potential victims have a new set of lives and all of these is due to the kind heart of Lito Atienza. The elections for Manila mayor would surely be a half-baked race if it did not let in a choice such as him. The post of Manila mayor is a position of action conjugated with great hopes.

A total of 301 babies were assisted and accepted for case management and crisis intervention from year 1996 to the present and a total of 4,371 men, women and teenagers were assisted and referred through crisis intervention by phone and walk-in referrals from 2006 to the present in the center. The man certainly has achieved a lot but more than this, he has helped a lot. There is a strong indication that all his good efforts will be rewarded during these elections for Manila mayor. He set up the center The Home For The Angels in order to take care of abandoned and neglected children. These Manila elections should reward him with more opportunities to help.

-Joel Dumayog

Lito Atienza - Founder Of The Home Of The Angels

Lito Atienza is presently a part of the number of candidates who will take part in the elections for Manila mayor. Lito Atienza is certainly a staple in Philippine politics and is gifted with a formidable family background. A lot of his kin are in themselves prominent members of the history of Philippine politics. Due to this, it could be rightfully proclaimed that LIto is truly the best choice for the post of Manila Mayor.

The father of Lito Atienza, Jose Atienza Sr, or Pepe was the head of the Department of Public Services. He was a decorated public servant who would even get up from bed in the middle of the night just to help troubled neighbors. His uncle, Herminigildo Atienza, also served as appointed Manila Mayor himself right after the Manila achieved liberation after the war. He was a very good mayor who was considered as one of the biggest influences in the founding of the legendary Liberal Party of Philippine politics.

Lito Atienza grew up amidst the ruins of the city of Manila, walked through the neighborhoods that was but a collection of debris and even swam on the waters of Manila Bay. He would be the perfect Manila Mayor because he grew up in the city in which he dreams to lead. He envisioned that he would eventually put his hat into Philippine politics, elevate the city of Manila into a greatness which will make the ashes of the war a mere afterthought. By running for Manila mayor, he can now engage in his dream task of trying to place Manila back to the pedestal where it belongs.

Lito Atienza certainly has all the requisites to become Manila Mayor. He graduated his primary and secondary education in Ateneo de Manila University and completed further a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas. Despite the fact that their family was monetarily rich, they were hardworking which enabled Lito to enter into the top schools. The Atienza family were also very faithful and God fearing. These family values and religious aspects are certainly very important for the position of public servant in Philippine politics.

But perhaps the best qualification of Lito Atienza is his clean and respected name. His father Pepe firmly believed that no wealth could ever be at par with the heritage of good name backed up with a good education. Lito also had lots of peers and always persevered in order to reach his goals. He would take manual labor jobs and even rode along classmates with cars without shame because he firmly believed in hard work as the bridge to our goals.

Lito Atienza would for sure extend his colored history in his participation in Philippine politics by running for mayor. By all accounts, being the Manila Mayor would be best for him and for the city of Manila given his heritage with the place. He played out not only his life here, but also lived shared his experiences with his family in the city which he envisions to prosper. If he wins, it will truly be for everyone's benefit if we give him a chance to fulfill his dreams of the city for us.

Lito Atienza is the most deserving to become Manila's mayor. He grew from a revered family in Philippine politics and already has vast experience himself as a politician. If elected, he would be living out his dream of becoming Manila Mayor, and leading the city to success. The inhabitants of the city would certainly be rewarded if they decide to make him the next mayor.

-Joel Dumayog

Lito Atienza 2010: Experience, Wisdom And Political Will

The Manila Elections has become more interesting and intriguing as a lot of political heavyweights have thrown their hats into the battle of becoming the all powerful Mayor of Manila. Among these political heavyweights who joined the mayoralty battle for the city is former Mayor of Manila and DENR Secretary Lito Atienza and his Lito Atienza 2010 platform.Under his banner Lito Atienza 2010, the former Mayor of Manila is starting for a comeback bid at the mayoralty seat after serving a full term as City Mayor and a brief stint as DENR secretary.

The former Mayor of Manila who owns the record as the only mayor who has served a full term, is one of the most revered leaders in the city's rich political history. Atienza boasts of having years of experience in public service, political will, wisdom, leadership stature and proven and unblemished track record which makes him one of the probable frontrunners in this coming Manila Elections. His resume consists of volumes of achievements and countless completed projects that have benefited the city residents particularly those who are impoverished. His political career that has lasted for more than four decades now is a clear demonstration on how the former Mayor of Manila has lived his life as a statesman, serving selflessly for the people.

Atienza began his political career started in 1968 as the leader of Democratic Youth Movement, (DEYMO) wherein he became one of those who survived the infamous Plaza Miranda bombing during the Liberal Party's political rally in 1971. Since then, the former Mayor of Manila had been a vocal critic of the Marcos administration. When the country was under the Martial Law, Atienza was put under arrest for his role as the leader of Metro Manila Jeepney Drivers Organization, which was the first ever organization of Jeepney Drivers.Atienza fought against and exposed several human abuses of the Marcos regime including the proposed eradication of jeepneys plying the avenues of Metro Manila as part of Imelda Marcos' beautification drive.

Despite exposing his dissatisfaction with the Marcos administration, Atienza became a Barangay Captain for ten years after serving as a tanod before which enabled him to hear the voices of ordinary people more. The former Mayor of Manila later served as at the Information Office of Manila City Hall under former mayor Ramon Bagatsing and later resigned due to conflict of principles and his work. Atienza would later start a bold journey as he seek a Parliamentary seat despite having no financial support at all. Instead, Atienza depended heavily on his principles and support from his family and friends which were enough to win him a seat in the Parliament at that time.

His tenure as a Parliamentary member of the Batasang Pambansa started in 1984, representing the then vast Congressional District of Manila which include the districts of Paco, Pandacan, San Andres Bukid, Sta. Ana, Santa Mesa.He was a known staunch ally of Sen. Ninoy Aquino and one of the opposition stalwarts who persuaded Cory Aquino to run for president. After Marcos was ousted during the People Power Revolution of 1986, the former Mayor of Manila was appointed to run the National Housing Authority where he promoted affordable housing for teachers and policemen. After a brief tenure as the NHA General Manger, Atienza decided to join the 1988 mayoralty race of Manila where he lost to his then rival Mel Lopez who was supported by President Aquino. Despite the loss, his spirit and will to serve was never defeated as he would later run and win as Vice-Mayor in 1992 and 1995.

In 1998 Manila Elections, Atienza finally won mayoralty seat and placed his name in history as the only Vice Mayor who got elected as city mayor As the Mayor of Manila. Atienza was celebrated for expressing his strong opposition in the reclamation of the city's part of Roxas Boulevard/Manila Bay.The former Mayor of Manila was also able to transform and beautify much of entire city's former tourist attractions along with the lives and welfare of the city folks. Atienza also spearheaded major projects which were aimed to benefit the poor, the older citizens, women and children.

After completing a full term as Manila Mayor, Atienza would later serve as the DENR secretary under President Arroyo. As DENR secretary, Atienza started substantial effort to execute the ill- executed Clean Air Act.Atienza also invested his efforts on giving a new life to the country's rivers and lakes, partnering with several environment groups including the Laguna Lake Development Authority and ABS-CBN Bantay Kalikasan. He has also ran after illegal logging operations in the countryside and has also ordered the closures of open dumpsites as part of his drive in protecting our country's natural resources.

The Manila Elections is vital since the winner would hold power to the nation's capital. Former Mayor of Manila Lito Atienza deserves to win another term as city mayor due to his outstanding achievements as a public servant and his vast experience and knowledge on being a true statesman who works for the greater good of people. As his last term was nearing its end, a lot of people have talked about whether he will seek for a higher position or finally exit the tumultuous world of Philippine politics. Atienza recognized for his achievement in Maynila, was appointed secretary of DENR where he brought his leadership and political will in the agency. Atienza would later spearhead a number of projects all of which were aimed to protect and manage our natural resources.

Among his distinguished projects as DENR secretary was the strict execution of the Clean Air Act as part of his efforts in cleaning the air. Atienza also worked closely with environment groups such as the Laguna Lake Development Authority and ABS-CBN Bantay Kalikasan in caring our country's rivers and lakes. Atienza is known as the best mayor the city as ever had due to his commitment in improving the lives of his beloved Maynila people. Lito Atienza is for sure a force in Philippine politics and is gifted with a formidable family background. Many of his relatives are in themselves prominent members of the history of Philippine politics. With this, it could be rightfully said that Lito is truly the best choice for the post of Manila Mayor.

The father of Lito Atienza, Jose Atienza Sr, or Pepe was the head of the Department of Public Services. He was an honored public servant who would even get up in the middle of the night just to help troubled neighbors. His uncle, Herminigildo Atienza, was appointed Manila Mayor himself right after the liberation of the city. He was an amazing mayor who was considered as one of the stalwart influences in the founding of the legendary Liberal Party of Philippine politics.

Lito Atienza had a childhood among the ruins of the city of manila, walked through the neighborhoods that was but a patchwork of debris and even swam on the waters of Manila Bay. He would be an ideal Manila Mayor because he grew up in the city in which he desires to lead. He envisioned that he would eventually put his hat into Philippine politics, elevate the city of Manila into a greatness which will make the ashes of the war a mere afterthought. By running for Manila mayor, he can now engage in his dream task of trying to place Manila back to the pedestal where it belongs.

Lito Atienza is certainly highly competent to become Manila Mayor. He had his primary and secondary education in Ateneo de Manila University and added a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas. Despite the fact that their family was monetarily rich, they were hardworking which enabled Lito to enter into the top schools. The Atienza family exhibited faithfulness and feared God properly. This mixed background of family values and fundamental religious aspects are certainly very important for the position of public servant in Philippine politics.

Perhaps the best qualification of Lito Atienza is his untarnished name. His father Pepe firmly set foot that no wealth could ever be at par with the value of a good name backed up with a good education.

He lived not only his life here, but also lived with his family in the city which he envisions to prosper.

Lito Atienza - Saving Lives Through The Home Of The Angels

Lito Atienza is currently a part of the list of prospects who will participate in the elections for Manila mayor. These Manila elections, yet once again, would be a proof of the aptitude of the discernment of the electorate to pick a candidate who is worthy of the demanding needs of the colorful city. In terms of qualifications, maybe there is no one else who conforms to the post more other than Lito Atienza. And among those who will vie for mayor in the Manila elections, no one probably has helped more.

In 1992, even as a Vice-Mayor, Lito Atienza founded with his wife Beng the "Home for the Angels," a child care center for deserted and abused infants. He created this out of his absolute belief that nobody should feel unwanted. He also acknowledges that some conditions might forcefully break up a parent from his child and this is why he created this shelter for them. The center provides nourishment and all the love which these children could ever need.

This center is the epitome of the good heart of Lito Atienza. This is what voters should be mindful of on the Manila elections. To a certain sense, we are all youngsters of the city, needing somebody like Lito Atienza to conduct us in a city in which himself saw burnt to ashes and which he wants to see rise again to elusive prominence. Such efforts should not be blanked out and should be at the centerpiece during the elections for Manila Mayor.

It would be morally straight if electors during the elections for Manila mayor would pick someone who was vocally against abortion. The position of Lito Atienza as one of the beginners of Home for the Angels has consistently been that abortion is the ultimate child abuse and must be stopped at all costs.

The elections for Manila mayor would certainly be a half-baked race if it did not include an option such as him. The office of Manila mayor is a status of action joined with great promises.

A total of 301 babies were serviced and accommodated for case management and crisis intervention from year 1996 to the present and a total of 4,371 men, women and teenagers were helped and touched on through crisis intervention by phone and walk-in referrals from 2006 to the present in the center. A total of 356 students and private individuals were served well and supplied with Respect for Life Orientation while a total of 314 children ages 0-6 years old for Early childhood care and Development were served in alternative Day Care services through the Learn and Play Outreach Program. These are works of a man who surely deserves to succeed in the Manila elections. In the elections for Manila Mayor, these are deeds of a man that had better be up there when we apply our discernment.

Lito Atienza is one of the most upright citizens of our country. It is with such great enthusiasm that the electorate welcomes him for the Manila elections. During these elections for Manila mayor, his deeds of heroism towards our society's forgotten individuals will not be forgotten. The Home For The Angels is an establishment which he founded in order to share his vision that no individual should be deprived of care and love.

-Joel Dumayog

Lito Atienza For Manila Mayor - Vote For Someone Prolife

In the approaching Manila elections, a prospect with supreme pro life advocacy has indicated his desire to lead Manila to a new beginning. Lito Atienza for Manila mayor is a slogan which represents a proper chapter to the vast history of Manila. His home in Philippine politics is a gallant one, and this he shares with his family background. In the upcoming Manila elections, it would be hard to go against this man.

Lito Atienza is a devout Roman Catholic, who is also President of Pro-Life Philippines. In collaboration with his spouse, this campaigner for the Manila elections gained international prominence in Rome as an official delegate in the Pontifical Council for the Family. He was honored with a standing ovation for emphasizing that the Philippines has the highest percentage of citizenry who values life, family and the elderly. Lito Atienza for Manila mayor thinks of pro-life measures in our society.

Even on his former term of office in Philippine politics in the City of Manila, he opposed all forms of contraception or abortion or sex education programs. Lito Atienza for Manila mayor would intend for an establishment that will be utterly pro-life from top to bottom. We ought to vote for this man during the Manila elections if we oppose abortion or those who are opposed to natural conception. The state of Philippine politics would for certain need a religious drawing card who has values such as him.

To bolster the Lito Atienza for Manila mayor credentials, he formed Rachel's Support Group, a group of volunteers who suffered post abortion syndrome. This group of this astounding campaigner for the Manila elections held counseling to women contemplating abortion and aimed at discouraging them from doing so. Because of his drives in Philipine politics, thousands of women represented given the right perspective and thousands of babies were saved. These are merely few of the grounds why Lito Atienza for Manila mayor should be a battle cry.

Lito Atienza for sure belongs to the old guard of Philippine politics. But he lies in to the honorable side of this vein of the political population. He has a strong educational background, with kin who are responsible public servants like himself. Aside from this, he has the core values of pro-life precepts which makes him a morally good potential mayor.

Come ballot day, these achievements of Lito Atienza are placed at the forefront of our consciousness. We have a possible mayor who is pro-life, who is socially conscious, and who is helpful. We have a potential mayor who grew up in the city, and whose most expansive aspiration is to make it great. If you are a member of the electorate of the City of Manila, the most consistent affair is to go for this man.
